Four presentations were selected as finalists from the first heat of the competition.
Dr. Dariusz Patkowski presented on thoracoscopic approach for long-gap esophageal atresia using internal traction technique, representing IPEG.
Dr. Matthew Urik presented on individuals with thoraco-abdominal congenital surgical anomalies being at increased risk of adverse mental health outcomes, representing CUPS.
Dr. Shudri Srinivas presented on outcomes from colonic pull-through for cloacal atrophy differing by colon length in a multi-institutional study, representing BAPS.
Dr. David Gravski presented on postoperative opioid reduction protocol reducing racial disparity of clinical outcomes in children, representing APSA.
Dr. Dariusz Patkowski won the Best of the Best in Pediatric Surgery 2024 competition with his presentation on thoracoscopic approach for long-gap esophageal atresia using internal traction technique.
