What this covers

These terms apply to the GlobalCastMD medical education library at library.globalcastmd.com. The separate StayCurrentMD platform and mobile applications have their own terms. By using the library you accept these terms; if you do not accept them, please do not use it.

Education, not medical advice

The library is a professional education resource. Its recordings, documents and summaries describe clinical practice and opinion; they are not medical advice, not a protocol, and not a substitute for your own clinical judgement or for the standards of your institution. Nothing here creates a doctor–patient relationship.

Some material is generated or summarised with the assistance of automated tools. Summaries, transcripts and extracted statements can be wrong or incomplete. Where a point matters clinically, rely on the original recording or the cited source rather than on a summary of it.

Do not submit patient-identifiable information to the library through search, comments, uploads or any other field.

Accounts

Some material is restricted to verified healthcare professionals, and some is private to a particular Space. Where you hold an account, give accurate details, keep your sign-in to yourself, and tell us if you believe it has been misused. We may suspend an account that is being used to circumvent those restrictions.

What you may do with the content

You may read, search, link to and share library material, and use it for your own education and for teaching within your institution, with attribution to the speaker and to GlobalCastMD. You may not republish it as your own, sell it, strip attribution from it, or feed it into another product or dataset without written permission.

Content remains the property of its authors, speakers and their institutions, or of GlobalCastMD, as the case may be.

If you contribute content

If you publish into the library you confirm that you have the right to do so, that you have any consents your institution requires, and that the material contains no patient-identifiable information. You keep ownership of what you contribute and grant GlobalCastMD permission to host, display, index, transcribe, summarise and distribute it within the library. The exact scope and duration of that permission is one of the points still to be settled below.

Acceptable use

• Do not break the law, or infringe anyone's rights, through the library.
• Do not scrape it, overload it, or work around rate limits and access controls.
• Do not upload malicious code, or impersonate another person or institution.
• Do not attempt to reach private or professionals-only material you are not entitled to see.

Availability

The library is provided as it stands. We work to keep it available and accurate, but we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, that every item will remain published, or that automated summaries will be free of error. We may add, change or withdraw material and features.

Links out

The library links to journals, guidelines, hospital pages and other external resources. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices.

Points still to be settled

These need a decision from GlobalCastMD and its legal advisers:

• the contracting entity, the governing law and the forum for disputes
• the limitation of liability and any disclaimer of warranties, which are stated only in outline above
• the precise licence a contributor grants, whether it is revocable, and what happens to published material if a contributor withdraws
• whether institutional or sponsor agreements override these terms for particular Spaces
• how changes are notified, and whether continued use counts as acceptance
• takedown and copyright-complaint handling, including the named contact
